MONTHLY MASTER CLASS
Join us each month from 10am-12pm on a Sunday morning for a specialised Intensive 2hour practise featuring an aspect of powerful asana blended with theory, pranayama, meditation and finding our bliss through Yoga and you'll be invited to say for tea and chat after the session!
Bookings are not required but some prior yoga experience is required. Our masterclasses are not suitable for those brand new to yoga or those with injuries.
2012 MASTERCLASS DATES:
27th May - Attention and Intention - come and join us for intensive session of pranayama, asana and meditation where we look at recapturing our attention and refocusing our intention so each time we step off the mat, we take yoga with us
17th June - Precious Patience - inspired by the story of Nandi, Shiva's Bull, this challenging but restorative class will challenge us to take some time out, to approach our yoga practice with patience, to stop in stillness and just be present
29th July - Dust off the chakras - in the depth of winter come and join us on a journey of grounding meditation, uplifting pranayama and energising asana to polish off the chakras and leave us feeling a little lighter and brighter
KIRTAN
We run group Kirtan's at our studios throughout the year, as well as during our Weekend Yoga Retreats.
We believe that the four main paths of Yoga (Raja, Karma, Jnana and Bhakti) are all vital to create a holistic yoga experience and through Kirtan's we share the path of Bhakti Yoga with our students.
In a group Kirtan, we use the power of Mantras, sacred Sanskirt sounds chanted and sung with devotional attitude. The practise is enhanced through the energy of group meditation and the power of sound enhanced with traditional Kirtan instruments.
A joyous practise to open the heart, still the mind and bring joy to the spirit.
All kirtans at our Red Hill studio cost $10. Our forthcoming kirtans:
Sunday 27th May 2012 - 5.30pm-6.30pm
Sunday 15th July 2012 - 5.30pm-6.30pm
Kirtans held at the studio for a small cost of $10 donated to Anahata Healing - our charitable initiative that facilitates access to free yoga for those affected by cancer.
SATSANG
Join us once a month after our Saturday morning class for chai, a sweet treat and satsang. Satsang is the practice of bringing like-minded people together to chat or chant, muse or meditation, to discuss a piece of writing or listen to a reading, share a poem or picture and anything inbetween!
Each month Jacqui and Keren may supply a reading suggestion via Facebook to those interested in joining our satsang and our discussion will start around that piece and then will evolve to inlcude anything else the group would like to share. We hope you can join us for our forthcoming satsangs:
Saturday 12th May - 10.30-11.30am
Saturday 9th June - 10.30-11.30am
Saturday 7th July - 10.30-11.30am
